Scuba Stars is Dive Academyās exciting programme for children aged 8ā11 who dream of exploring beneath the waves. Over ten action packed weeks, kids join Scuba Stars Level 1 (PADI Seal Team) and learn to breathe, swim and play underwater using real scuba gear in our heated on site pool. With underwater games, treasure hunts and teamwork challenges, every session is a new adventure that builds memories they will talk about for years.
Parents love Scuba Stars because it is about more than just play. Every session is led by DBS checked PADI professionals in small groups, using comfortable child sized scuba equipment. Kids learn genuine scuba skills, from mask clears to buoyancy control, while developing confidence, resilience and teamwork. It is fun and exciting, but also structured, safe and designed to help children thrive both in and out of the water.

Scuba Stars is designed to grow with your child. After completing Level 1 (PADI Seal Team), they can continue into Level 2 (PADI Master Seal), where they explore exciting speciality AquaMissions like underwater photography, navigation and environmental awareness.
From there, children can move on to Level 3 (Dive Academy Speciality AquaMissions), with unique adventures created by Dive Academy such as Treasure Hunter or Rescue Ranger. At age 10, they can progress into Level 4 (PADI Junior Scuba Diver) and then Level 5 (PADI Junior Open Water Diver), their first full scuba certification.
This clear pathway takes them from their first bubbles to becoming confident, qualified divers.

Your top questions about Scuba Stars, answered
The programme is designed for children aged 8ā11. It is the perfect way to get them started before they are old enough for full scuba certification.
They do not need to be expert swimmers, but they should be comfortable and confident in the water. Our instructors keep sessions in the pool shallow and safe, with plenty of support.
Yes. We use child sized scuba gear and keep groups very small so each child gets lots of attention. All sessions are taught by DBS checked PADI professionals who follow strict safety standards.
They will cover the PADI AquaMissions, which include skills like breathing underwater, clearing a mask, buoyancy control and regulator recovery. Every week also includes fun games that build confidence and teamwork.
The course runs over ten weeks. Each week is a one hour pool session with a mixture of learning and play.
Parents are welcome to watch from poolside, and in the final week we invite families in for a special Show and Tell session (we'll even lend you a snorkel!) where children demonstrate their new skills.
We provide all the scuba gear they need. Children only need to bring swimwear, a t-shirt to wear in the pool, a towel and plenty of enthusiasm.
Scuba Stars is a journey with five clear levels. After Level 1 (PADI Seal Team), children can progress into Level 2 (PADI Master Seal) for more AquaMissions including navigation, environmental awareness and underwater photography. Next comes Level 3 (Dive Academy Speciality AquaMissions), with unique adventures designed by Dive Academy such as Treasure Hunter, Rescue Ranger and Underwater Acrobat. At age 10, they can move on to Level 4 (PADI Junior Scuba Diver) and finally achieve Level 5 (PADI Junior Open Water Diver), their first full scuba certification.
